Once again, female power, passion, and sex appeal come seeping out of P La Cangri’s music. Hard at work in the studio for the summer P has cooked up a promising lineup of hits that are true to her work ethic and raw talent. Behind the tough Brooklyn-girl exterior is a beautiful soul that speaks of love, heartbreak and the struggles endured in the music industry that have shaped her unique and vibrant sound. In P’s world it’s all about staying true, never selling out, and daring to call out the opponent to a around-about of battling lyricism, but who will step up? Whether its the Cuban blood or the Puerto Rican influences fueling this star’s fire I can’t decipher, but what is real at any moment in her artistic trajectory is the love and dedication stamped on her product. Stay tuned for her new album’s release P La Cangri Viene Duro!
Take the right measurements of talent, dedication, vision, and sensuality and you get what seems to be a collaboration effortlessly successful; it’s SUPERMEGAFUTURESHIT. Along come a couple of up and coming painters of epic sounds and the music industry finds itself with no other option than to make way for them. JHYVE, singer and SOUL, producer of this independent project have joined forces to create a sexy and inviting style sure to refresh R&B. This album embodies the modernism of today’s futuristic production trends while maintaining a soulful and intriguing creativity unique to its makers. Women drenched with insinuation and a desire to be serenaded by the likes of new musical blood seems an outcome not far from factuality, for JHYVE’s lyricism is a classy seductress that ignites with the sultry production of SOUL.
SUPERMEGAFUTURESHIT carries the perfect R&B vibe that transcends from a set of speakers into a space where dance and sensuality pare indefinitely. What’s more, it proves the raw talent and ability of Toronto’s artists as these fellas step up to represent and cultivate genuine relationships with other musicians their fans. Now this woman right here is a constant reminder of hard work. I did not choose this track because of its witty nature, but I chose it because it speaks to who P La Cangri is as an artist. She represents Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic but most importantly she represents the fire that is in each one of us Latin females. She is a Diva without the overpriced nails, she spits rhymes well in a booth as she does on the streets she calls her own. P La Cangri is for the Urban movement; she is for the people.
If you’re for strong women holding it down for the Latin Urban movement I want you to do 3 things:
- Follow P La Cangri @La_P
- Visit her official website http://www.placangri.com
- Love the art that drives your breath
Lets take a trip to DR…
Looking for the real up-and-comer representing NYC & DR? I present to you Messiah with Yo Yais Music. The young Urban artist breathes passion into his free styles on the streets of NYC just like he does in the studio. For this Dominican-born talent music has been the perfect escape from heartbreak and rough upbringings, and although he rhymes about drugs and life’s struggles, he can make sweet tunes for the ladies too.
Fair skin and a soft demeanor contradict beautifully with the monstrous talent he brings to the Latin Urban movement. Not only is he a “young buck in the game,” but he is currently touring in Colombia, which proves he is a force not-for-long withheld in the streets of NYC.
NoticaMusical wishes Messiah and his crew the best on this musical journey and hopes to one day cover his work in full!
La Perla, Puerto Rico
Graffiti, skate park, hood-like community, passion, what else do you think of when you see this picture?
This was taken in La Perla, Puerto Rico, home to some of the most beautiful and talented people on this planet; and I’m not taking about looks. La Perla breeds passion, determination, love, and not just the wrongly judged “gangsta.”
Home to stars like Calle 13 and De La Ghetto, La Perla is pro active about bettering the lives of it’s youth-filled streets. El Estudio D’Oro is just one push towards growth and harmony. This free-of-charge studio welcomes all age groups to express their emotions through music. Ohh music, how you take the ugly and create the beautiful…
I pray for La Perla and stand proud by its people and its efforts to progress. There is nothing more beautiful to me than a diamond in the rough, or should I say a perla in the rough?
